Why Participate in the EBSI-SIS Career Fair

The 2011 EBSI-SIS Career Fair is a unique opportunity to meet more than 250 students from the Master of Library and Information Studies programs at Université de Montréal and McGill University.

These motivated and dynamic students are eager to take on challenges in your organization. Whether looking for an internship, a part-time or a full-time job, or a contract, the students want to take advantage of the Career Fair to learn more about your organization.

The Master of Library and Information Studies (MLIS) programs

The students in Master of Library and Information Studies programs accredited by the American Library Association have already completed a bachelor's degree. The master's students at EBSI or SIS learn about the theoretical foundations of information science and learn how to select, acquire, organize, store, retrieve and disseminate information and knowledge sources.

Our students come from a variety of backgrounds: literature, physics, computer science, anthropology, music, management, history, visual art, education, political science, economics, sociology, linguistics, religious studies, biology, psychology, women’s studies, translation, drama, and more!

More than 70% of our students are bilingual (English-French) .

Many students also speak other languages (Spanish, Russian, Arabic, Romanian, LSQ, Korean, Hungarian, German, Mandarin, Bulgarian, ASL).
